Common questions

Before you write in.

A few things that come up often.

Where do pared items go?

Nowhere unusual. Pare uses your phone's own systems, so deleted photos land in Recently Deleted and stay recoverable for 30 days. Nothing is removed permanently behind your back.

Can I undo a swipe?

Yes. If you pare something by accident, you can bring it back from Recently Deleted in Photos, or from the equivalent recovery place for that surface.

Does Pare upload my data?

No. Everything happens on your device. There are no accounts and no servers, so your photos, contacts, and files never leave your phone.

Why can't Pare see my photos or contacts?

It needs permission for each surface. Open Settings, find Pare, and turn on access for the ones you want to work through. Full Access for photos rather than Limited gives you the whole library.

What happens to deferred items?

They stay in place, untouched, and come back around the next time you work through that surface. Deferring is not deleting.

Something crashed or froze.

Force-quit and reopen first, then check the App Store for an update. If it keeps happening, email us with your device and iOS version and we'll dig in.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. We can't process refunds on Apple's behalf, but tell us what went wrong and we'll try to fix it.

I have an idea for the app.

Send it. Feature requests and complaints about things that feel wrong are both welcome — they shape what gets built next.
